Post 110: 5th March

Chris had been sent a special offer for a really good value stay at the De Vere Grand Harbour in Southampton. We arrived on Monday but I was floored by an awful migraine. When we got to the hotel the room wasn’t quite ready and I just felt worse and worse. In the end they put us in a different room. I lay on the bed for four hours; Chris went to get me some Imigran from Boots. I have this on prescription but it is so long since the last attack I am not in the habit of carrying it with me. Lesson learned!
So much for an exciting time in Southampton. Twas not to be, clearly! By the evening I felt a lot better and managed to have a swim in the pool which was invigourating. The planned ‘dinner’ just didn’t happen. I wasn’t up to it. Instead we went for a short stroll to a local pub for a bite to eat.
We did get to see a little of Southampton on Tuesday morning and arrived at the hospital in plenty of time for the appointment. For this scan I’d had to abstain from eating and drinking for two hours; then they gave me a pint of water to drink in half an hour. They inserted a canula with a large needle, which was extremely painful in my poor veins. As the dye went in I felt it burning and hurting and knew this would mean trouble. I wasn’t wrong. Today my arm is bruised and swollen. We arrived home yesterday evening and I went straight to bed where I stayed for twelve hours!
Now I have to chase up the result and find out what happens next and when. The migraine keeps threatening to return and I feel washed out and fed up. Not a great two days. When I speak to Rachel she tells me that they saw Ziva's snow suit hanging in the cupboard and it looked like another Ziva...so they added shoes, the balloon and a face. So now you see them, Ziva Mark One and Zive Mark Two..cute or what?
